ABOUT DITS and DAHS

In recent months, MAARC has been conducting a series of training sessions
for those interested in gaining skill in Morse code sending and receiving.

Regular instruction has been key to the program conducted by Club President
Marcel LeBlanc,VE9ML.  Once the basics have been learned, proficiency
and speed can be gained by threeaccepted methods; practise, practise and practise!

Although Morse code is no longer used in commercial telecom systems, it is still a popular
mode in AmateurRadio.  Making frequent on-air contacts on CW is
acknowledged as the best way to gain proficiency.

There are many Websites related to Morse code. Below is a very short list of Websites
related to learning and practice together with some historical background.

To broaden the scope of this page and reflect Morse as used in landline, three
sites on this subject are included.
