Packet Project Group Learning Sessions - Thursdays!

Did you know we host learning sessions every Thursday night at 7:30pm on Jitsi Meet? No Packet Station is required to attend or participate. If you have Internet access, then you can participate. So here is your opportunity to become proficient in packet operations without having to invest in any equipment whatsoever. Please email ve9jfl@rac.ca to be added to the distribution list for access to the online meeting and other information regarding the Packet Project.

What's happened since our switch to HamShack.ca for our SwapShop

The MAARC HamShack.ca page is the 2nd busiest referral link (second to the HARC). We have had 500 users actively use the buy and sell page with a total of 2400 sessions over the last 8 months. There’s obviously a need for a swap shop service and it's great to see MAARC is attracting use to the site.

HamShack.ca was created and is maintained by Don Rosberg, VE7DXE. Like any website, it takes a lot of work and some expense to keep an active website online. If you would like to consider supporting Don in this initiative, please follow the link below, buy Don a coffee and help him keep HamShack.ca online. MAARC Clubhouse Closed until Further Notice

1/14/2022

In light of the latest Public Health regulations with the lockdown and one household bubble starting Friday night at midnight, the Executives of MAARC regret to inform their members that the MAARC Clubhouse will be closed to any formal or informal meetings, including the Wednesday morning social meeting. It is for this reason that the Wednesday morning social gathering via the VE9TCR repeater at 9am has continued and will continue to take place. If anyone finds it easier to check in using the VE9SMH UHF repeater, it is linked to VE9TCR during the Wednesday morning Social Net The Executives thank JP, VE9BK for continuing to host the Net.

It is a great way to stay in contact with and check on our fellow members during this global pandemic. Drop into the Net and let us know how you are doing and what one has been up to and any projects one is working on.
