The following area amateurs checked in: Ross, VE9GCS, Tobie, VE9XAB, Marc, VE9LEG, Keith, VE9ELA, Kevin, VE1KEV, Paul, VE9PAL, Frank, VE9FD, and JP, VE9ADV. I heard a rumour that there was a late check in after the Net had closed, I was off the frequency so I did not hear who it was but if so, that would be a total of 9 plus our Net Control. After the digital check ins, Yvon called on analog (FM) for any others. You can still access the VE9MFR repeater in the analog mode but you will need to have a tone of 103.5 Hz encode sent with the carrier to open the repeater up. Also, on September 1st, we held the 2nd Moncton Area Fusion Net on the VE9MFR Fusion Repeater. It was hosted by Ross, VE9GCS as Yvon, VE1VON was out of town for the long weekend. There was a total of 8 Check-ins using the Yaesu digital mode and one in the analog mode. Those who Checked-in using digital were Paul, VE9PAL, Gordon, VE9GC, Marc, VE9LEG, Maurice, VE9DL, Frank, VE9FD, JP, VE9ADV, Mike, VE1ZB and Kevin, VE1KEV. Omer, VE9TV was our analog Check-in. All signals were loud and clear. Danny's Net is at 8pm on the 449.325 MHz repeater followed by the Moncton Area 2 meter Simplex Net at 8:15pm and the Moncton Area 2 meter SSB Net on 144.200 MHz USB at 8:45pm. If that is not enough radio fun for one night, Hinson, VE9CX runs the granddaddy of all Moncton Nets at 9pm on the 147.345 MHz repeater. Sunday is Funday with radios in the Moncton Area. 73, Ross VE9GCS For more information about the MAARC Fusion Repeater, please go to our Fusion technology page. |
