CARG acts as Net Control for Exercise Handshake and CARG Member Awarded Certificate for 50 Nets11/26/2019
CARG acted as NCS for Exercise Handshake last night. Thanks to Michel, VE9JFL and Mike, VE9NOM who controlled the net. Also thanks to Mike, VE1ZB who provided guidance during the net, and the many CARG volunteers who were present for this great training opportunity.
Also, Congratulations to David, VE9QED for being awarded the 1st CARG MH&VP Certificate for participation in 50 nets. An outstanding turnout at this months MAARC meeting. Topics discussed included the Christmas Party, PayPal payments for members, Club Antennas, and many others. Thanks to Yvon (VE1VON) for presenting a TekTalk titled Fusion in the Moncton Area.
Meeting minutes can be found here. This video and other links are now available on our new Towers page on this website. Here is a link to an excellent talk about tower safety recently presented by K1IR, Jim Idelson. Jim presents what a HAM needs to know and provides a clear explanation of today's safety equipment, which is greatly improved. For those of you who climb, this video is for you. Please make an investment in your own safety so that Jim will be less likely to be adding your call sign to his analysis. On October 26th Yaesu held a webinar on Fusion for MAARC. John Kruk – N9UPC, Yaesu's National Sales Manager, covered Fusion radios and infrastructure. The webinar lasted just short of one hour.
A recording is available if you'd like to watch or re-watch the webinar. Simply click on the following link: https://register.gotowebinar.com/recording/3443497097813580294 Thanks, Michel |
