Updated September 2: MAARC Flea Market returning on September 11th!

The executives of the Moncton Area Amateur Radio Club have been in discussion with the Riverview Lions Club located at 701 Coverdale Rd, Riverview E1B 3K9 regarding the yearly ham radio flea market. At this time, as the province of New Brunswick is opening up and returning to a new normal, they have advised that their hall will be available to us for the flea market on Saturday, September 11, 2021.

The doors will be open to venders at 9am and to buyers at 10am. The admission cost will again be $5 and MAARC will have a 50/50 cash draw, a raffle of an amateur radio related item and a door prize.

Masks are required to be worn at all times by all guests while inside the Riverview Lions Club (see update to the right).

Raffle Prize

The raffle prize for the 2021 MAARC Flea Market has been decided on. It is a Yaesu FT-2980 two meter transceiver with 80 watts of rf output. This radio is a beast with the case being part of the heatsink. Hard to hit distant repeaters will be a thing of the past with this radio and it’s 80 watts output power.

I met with the contact for the Riverview Lions Club this morning. We are still a go for Sat., Sept 11 for the MAARC Ham Radio Flea Market. He advised that they are re-opening this Friday for Bingo with the stipulation that wearing masks will be required, not optional. We will also be required to wear masks. MAARC will set up a table between the doors to provide masks if someone doesn’t have one and hand sanitizer. Please respect their mask policy as we are their guests and don’t want to lose this venue going forward. Thanks for understanding and 73.

We've just been informed that Harold Mac Farlane will once again be in attendance at our Flea Market. 

As in previous years, Harold is willing to bring down any item from his offerings down to Moncton, which means you'll save on shipping and handling costs.

Harold specializes in towers and cabling, but he does carry other amateur radio equipment. Have a look at his website and get hold of him if you have any questions or wish to purchase any item. You'll need to purchase items at least a week before the Flea Market. Here is Harold's information:
