New Swap Shop and CAROL Project launching.

Don, VE7DXE has started a ‘Covid project’ that provides a service to help fellow hams buy and sell surplus ham radio gear on-line. Hamshack.ca has been operating for a few weeks and is gradually seeing an increase in traffic, listings and the buying and selling of ham radio gear. The buy and sell section incorporates some really effective AJAX search and filtering tools to make it easy for users to find listings by searching and filtering on the name, location and ham radio category, etc.

He has also embarked on an initiative to compile an up-to-date, accurate and comprehensive listing of all Canadian ham radio clubs and organizations. Don believes that the Canadian Amateur Radio Organization Listing (CAROL) project will fulfill a need by enabling interested users quick and easy access to on-line information about all Canadian Amateur radio clubs and organizations, without the need to cull through search results. Authorized club members will have the ability to update information and submit new ham radio club information to help ensure CAROL is accurate and remains current.
