I want in. What's next?
Who do I contact?
Ross (kb6gcs@yahoo.com) to book a seat in the training class. Yvon (yvon.hachey@gmail.com) to book a seat or an exam session. What do I need?
Students should have in their possession the Seventh Edition of the RAC Study Guide for the Basic Exam, which can be purchased online at: http://www.rac.ca. The cost of purchase is $50.00 plus Tax & shipping. There are also special packages which are optional and which include the RAC Operating Manual and a six-month trial membership in RAC. The student manual we use in our class is from Coax publication at https://www.coaxpublications.ca. If a student has already purchased the Sixth Edition of the RAC Study Guide instead, it is OK. If a student has a computer with access to the internet, it is strongly recommended that they download practice exams from the Industry Canada web site: http://www.ic.gc.ca/eic/site/025.nsf/eng/h_00040.html Many experienced Hams in local clubs are ready and willing to act as mentors to new Hams. |
